St. Joseph’s Convent Girls’ High School
Our Legacy
Established in 1899, St. Joseph’s Convent Girls’ High School has been a beacon of excellence in education for over a century. Founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes, the institution began as a primary school for Indian girls in a house donated by Smt. Rajamma Thumboo Chetty. Over time, it evolved into a premier educational institution, nurturing thousands of young minds.
The school, originally known as R.T.C. Girls’ School, transitioned into St. Joseph’s Convent Girls’ High School and has achieved several milestones, including:
Silver Jubilee (1968)
Golden Jubilee (1994)
Establishment of St. Joseph’s Pre-University College (2009)
Today, with a student strength of 450, the institution continues to uphold its commitment to holistic education.
