Independence Day 2022 - 15/08/2022

After a break of two years owing to the covid-19 pandemic, students finally participated in the 76th Independence Day celebration named “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.

Independence Day was celebrated in our school with great patriotic spirit and zeal. The school decorated with tricolor flags & balloons in radiant saffron, white, and green posed an exuberant welcome to everybody.

The programme had an august gathering of guests, staff, & students from St.Joseph’s Convent Girls High school, PU College & RTC Hr. Primary School rendering their accentuated participation which uplifted the spirit of patriotism & oneness.

The programme started with a soul-stirring prayer followed by a prayer dance & patriotic speech by the students.

To commemorate the sovereignty of our Nation, our Principal Sister Clara P.V. unfurled the tricolour flag along with the chief guest Rev. Fr. Peter and other sisters of Tarbes.

There was March-past by the NCC cadets, school captains & house leaders of the school and the PU College.

Life of Bhagat Singh was enacted by the RTC students followed by a soulful rendition of a patriotic dance.

Our Principal’s speech emanated true connotation of patriotism among the students. The speech by the Chief Guest was impetus to the event. The celebration concluded with a procession by staff & students with placards and slogans “Jai Hind” outside the campus, holding the tricolor flags.
